If you go and try again it will probably start. The cars today have automatic chokes and you should not press accelerator till firing. If however you think engine may have flooded 2 choices leave for 1/2hr. Or Plant foot to floor hold there turn engine over for 30 seconds to see if it starts to fire.

I have had a KIA Ceed 2008 SW 2.0 Diesel for 4 years now. Every time it gets cold or damp it doesn't want to start. It has had new glow plugs, new starter motor and new crank sensor and is on its fourth battery in two years (including one six weeks ago!). Info suggests KIA replaced the + battery cable loom as well in 2011.
