But definitely, it should say "Shared Inventory Slot (bundled with the level 80 boost)" and clearly define that the boost must be consumed to free up

Guild wars 2 gameplay is much more active then WoW, you need to learn when to move&dodge and learn that facetank is generally a very bad idea. You will not learn this if you instant boost to 80 and you will get destroyed even in "easy" pve encounters, this is especially true for HoT content.
If you're brand new to GW2 I recommend you definitely don't boost. Leveling up teaches you about the world, the mechanics and it gives you everything you need to enjoy the game.And the personal story is pretty good too.I'd recommend doing the personal story and the dungeons in order and at-level.

(available 1 time per account) or not even "post-EoD", throw a single "1 time per account" level 80 boost at everyone, no matter which expasnion you've got. I don't know how much anet cares about that part of gemstore.
Alternatively, you could also boost whichever class is easier to understand, so you won't be too confused trying to figure out the class :) For instance I boosted a warrior, since the gameplay is fairly simple to understand even at level 80.
