Yeah this certainly should be possible! In normal smart values, you would use something like { {issue.key}} but if you use { {triggerIssue.key}} then this pulls through the values from the issue which triggered the rule. This should work for any of the fields, so just change issue to triggerIssue. Hope this helps! Works like a charm. Thank you!

In "Additional fields" you need to clear the example values and then insert the code Ravi suggested. You can see above how it should look like. You have to use advanced edit to get the account id of the user from the people field. Try this to set the assignee.
Use a Lookup Issues action to gather the issues and then iterate over them to send the details. To do this please try: Action: lookup issues on JQL with fixVersion = ' { {version.name}}'. Action: send email with some markup for the list, substituting in your company URL and project name. Please see the Lookup Issues documentation to learn the
Among the rules, I want to implement a rule which is: When a request participant is added => Notify the added particpants. The "send email" action in Jira automation does not have the added participant as a choice for receipients, so I am thinking to work around it with a smart values as follow: { {#issue.customfield_14061}}
Within Jira's automatic notifications, which arrive, for example, when I'm following an issue I can enter through a direct link to the issue. What is that smart value? I'm creating an automation to notify when an issue changes from a specific column to another, but I can't find the smart value to make it a direct link to the issue. Add bullets to each line of paragraph style smart value for confluence webhook. I have set up some automation rules that interact with each other to do the following: The issue is that { {Release notes comments.htmlEncode}} is a paragraph style field, and it appears like this in Jira: The resulting confluence only shows this as a single bullet
In the send email action, you need to use the field ID. Example: Affected hardware is a custom field with ID 10040. To get the field value, go to Admin settings --> Issues --> Custom field --> search for custom field and click Edit details. Value will be present in the browser.
