Hi, 30 oil is too thin when hot for 2.5tdi i have ex aa 2.5 use 10.40 or 5.40 if worried about sticking lifter.you would be surprised how much oil pressure drops useing 30 oil which is not a good idea in hot weather. ajpepe72. 2251 posts · Joined 2009. #6 · Aug 21, 2011.
This only checks that the N75 has vacuum and that the ECU is working to operate it. One you know the turbo control is working you can do some logging and graphing of the MAF/MAP/N75 on the road to try and work out what is happening as it overboosts. 2004 2.5 174 AXE engine code. D.

We only had the 2.5 petrol engine with a REALLY low geared transmission and need something with a taller final drive. I can swap the 5th gear swap no problem, its just the other 4 gears..

If the oil level is ok according to the dipstick then it is probably a false alarm which could be due to a faulty bonnet catch micro switch (or the wiring to the switch - this is a common T5 problem). 2002 T4 2.5 Tdi 75kw with auto box. I was cruising on the motorway when the engine suddenly died without any warking. Tried to start it but no joy, so had to get it towed home. Been doing the basic checks, but havn't found anything so far. Starter works and glow plug light comes on as normal 2.8 - 11.8l/100km (23.5mpg - 12v VR6), Auto 13l/100km (21mpg) 2.8 - 13l/100km (21mpg - 24v V6 Auto) These fuel consumption figures, applying to N1-11 and N1-111 Transporter Panel Vans (tested at a constant 90km/h at half payload), are for comparison purposes only. I’m considering changing my cylinder head due to replacement tappets being fitted and ending up with worse noise than the originals. I’m now seriously thinking that a replacement head might be the way forward with this having priced up a cam and lifters from VW, around the 1200 quid mark. rLWD.
