Morning all. Any ideas what's going on?? - the boot warning light on the dashboard cluster won't go out , the boot is well and truly closed so there's no chance of it springing open (it's a MK 4 2002 Golf TDI) When I opened the boot, there was moisture around the locking mechanism, but nothing unusual (i thought) When I was driving, the light First then - in the fascia fuse box - the one on the drivers side / edge of the dash - accessed by opening the drivers door - check fuse 46 ( a 5 amp ) bottom right hand corner of the fuse box - Then check fuse 47 ( 5 amp ) nest to that one Then working up , next row up - check fuses 40 , 41 and 42 ..

Re: Indicators not working. I am running into some issues with the indicators on a 1.3 vw fox. The light displays on the dash when I turn on the indicator but, the indicators don't go on, however the hazards work fine. I have checked all fuses, and replaced the flashing unit. What more is there to check, as the hazards don't work.

NC. Dec 24, 2019. #1. So, I did a search before posting this and decided to post anyway, because my problem seems to be a little different. I have a 2018 Golf R. The rear wiper started to stutter so I had VW replace it during my first 10k service. When I say "stutter" I mean that as the wiper arm sweeps, it stops for a split second. If the cruise control on your VW Golf is not working after work on the clutch pedal; check the sensor that goes into the front of the clutch assembly. Take t Under your steering wheel there are 2 screws, take them out and pull the panel off. It could be the relay. With MK4 golfs there basically all run on the same one. Have a look and feel if it's hot. My wipers and heaters and indicators stopped working, changed the relay and all was good.
TDI. 1997 VW Passat TDI. Jul 22, 2007. #3. You need a brake switch. It's located underneath the brake pedal. There is a recall affecting Mk4s on this. Check with a local dealer or VW Canada. My brother's Mk4 Jetta just got a notice a couple of months ago.
